Our Process
Thinking about what happens after a loved one passes away fills most people with dread. Planning for a loved one’s cremation doesn’t have to be confusing though. Our unique process makes arranging your loved one’s cremation seamless. Our directors are friendly and knowledgeable. We have broken down our process below.
Contact
Our kind and attentive staff is only a phone call away, no matter the hour or day your call will be answered promptly and compassionately.
Transfer
We will bring your loved one into our care from wherever the death may occur. You can rest assured your loved one is safe at our secure care center.
Care
We believe in dignified and gentle care for everyone, your loved one will be bathed, have their hair brushed and dressed either in their own clothes or a hospital gown. They are then placed in their cremation container, which includes a pillow and blanket. Whether you choose to see them again or not, you can trust that your loved one will have the best care available.
Plan
In our boutique Eastwood funeral home or even the comfort of your own home, one of our knowledgeable and experienced funeral directors will sit with you to walk you through our unique process and all necessary paperwork. Most importantly, we will help you plan the best way to pay tribute to your loved one.
Say Goodbye
If you would like, you may see your loved one before their cremation. When you come in for arrangements your loved one will be available to spend time with for a short time in our chapel.
Cremate
When all the necessary paperwork is filed, your loved one is transported to the crematory for cremation. You and your family are welcome to accompany your loved one to the crematory and participate in the process at Woodlawn’s state of the art cremation center. We regularly inspect our local crematories to ensure our families receive the highest level of care.
Pickup
When the cremation process is completed your loved one will be picked up. Any services planned can take place or your loved one can be hand delivered to you or picked up at our boutique Eastwood funeral home.
