Carmen Bernard meant the world to her son, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was strong, loving, and always willing to give her last to help anyone in need. Her kindness and generosity touched so many lives, and she was the heart of our family. Losing her so unexpectedly has been incredibly difficult for all of us. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 28, 2026, at 8:33pm. We want to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.

Carmen is survived by her son, Anthony Aquino; her grand children, Valerie (Robert Bennett) Vega and Steven (Lizmarie Alvarado) Berrios; and her great grandchildren, Jaden Roman, Arianna Derby, Avionna Vega, Azaria’Lynn McGrail, Bailey McGrail, Arieliz Berrios, Marieliz Berrios, Gianiliz Berrios, and Steven Berrios, Jr.

Carmen was a very happy, loving person who cherished every moment with her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved watching Paw Patrol and always brought joy to those around her. 

The suddenness of her passing has left us unprepared for the costs of her funeral and memorial services. Any support to help us celebrate her life and say goodbye means so much to our family. Thank you for your kindness and for helping us remember Carmen.
