John Purdy passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026. Raised in New York Mills, New York, he was the son of John Purdy and Anna (Pantaleo) Mahoney.

John worked as a mechanic and was known for his skill with his hands and his love of fixing and building things. Most recently, he enjoyed spending time working on his truck. He was outgoing, friendly, and never met a stranger. Above all else, John treasured his family, who were the center of his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Rose (Chris) Purdy and Kim (Paul) Munro; his beloved granddaughters, J.J., Nev, and Shelby; his brother, Nick Mahoney; and his sister, Joan Northrop.

John will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his warm personality, and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
