Michael (Mike) David Giocondo was born on July 14th 1972 in Syracuse, N.Y. He passed away suddenly on July 13th 2026 due to health complications. He is survived by his beloved wife Julie Giocondo, a daughter Elizabeth (Ellie), son-in-law Derek and step daughter Amanda. He cherished his role as a grandfather leaving behind Liam, Karter and step grandhildren Madison, Audrey and Hailey. He is mourned by his devoted mother Sandra (Sandy) Giocondo and predeceased by his father Micheal Giocondo Jr. Mike has 4 brothers, Tim, Don (Karen), Steve, Jeff (Brad) and had several nieces and nephews including Adam who has been a constant presence and help in Mike's day to day life over the past year.
Mike partially grew up in Baldwinsville N.Y but then finished out school and graduated from North Rose-Wolcott. Mike dedicated his career to the factory industry working as a Mill and Cal operator at Garlock Sealing Technologies until he decided he needed a change. He then pursued his own business of being a handy man and enjoyed helping others. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Mike was a man of many passions and talents. He spent countless hours building his home, where he shared with his wife, and workshop for the two of them to enjoy. He hand crafted many pieces for friends, family and to sell. His enthusiasm for slot car racing with his buddies and flying RC planes with his father, before he passed, brother and friends brought joy and excitement into his life.
A memorable highlight of Mike's life was the day he married his sweet, caring wonderful wife Julie, cementing a bond that would last a lifetime. They enjoyed many things together including antiquing where he often sought treasures of the past. Mike valued the moments spent with his grandchildren, imparting wisdom and sharing laughter during their time together. His spirit and love will live on through the memories shared by his family and friends who will forever treasure the impact he had on their lives.
A celebration of life is still to be determined and we will let family and friends know at a later date.
