IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy
Young
April 26, 1953 – March 21, 2026
Calling Hours
Nancy Elaine (Buell) Young was born to the late Robert and Elsie Buell on April 26, 1953. On March 21, 2026, she ran into the arms of Jesus!
Ever since she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she has been walking faithfully with Him and now sees Him face to face.
Nancy graduated from Camden H.S., and Canton ATC with a degree in Nursery Education. She worked in pre-schools in Camden, Boonville, Rochester, and Syracuse through the years.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Bill, son Joshua, daughter Kristen, daughter-in-law Jessie, grandchildren Eliza and Luca, sisters Joan Robinson of Rochester, Bonnie (Dale) Lewis of Canandaigua, and brother Bruce (Heidi) Buell of Spencerport, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Nancy was greeted in heaven by her sister Carol (John) Pollock, nephew Tim Pollock, along with many other loved ones.
Nancy's true calling was as a mother and grandmother. She felt incredibly blessed with her family. Her greatest joy was that they love the Lord like she does. The years of struggles made the most recent times so much sweeter. She was incredibly thankful for her husband, Bill. They came up just a bit short of their 40th anniversary.
Nancy loved Easter and Christmas for their meaning as well as the worship songs and the decorations. She was hopelessly addicted to Hallmark's Christmas movies, which she started watching in November. She liked working on projects, large and small, around her home.
Nancy had a soft spot in her heart for High Braes Refuge, a Christian Retreat in Redfield. Her parents, sisters, brother, and their families made special memories there during several Christmases. Feel free to give in her memory to The Braes (https://www.highbraes.org/).
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at Grace Covenant Church, 5300 State Route 31, Clay, NY 13041. A brief memorial service will follow at 7pm.
